A workshop by Oleg Soulimenko
This workshop is for artists, who want to tell their stories in an extraordinary manner. By using our body and voice, texts, objects and documentary we will work with our own histories’ private, political, biographical and historical events. Our imagination will have an important role in the process.
We will improvise; work with time, space, composition and with different states of body and mind to create short performances. And probably some unexpected things will appear. Glamour, kitsch, authenticity and minimal and reduced approaches are welcome!
Oleg Soulimenko is a Russian performer and choreographer living and working in Moscow and Vienna. In 1991, he founded the Saira Blanche Theatre, developing a sophisticated and provocative form of dance improvisation. His latest performances have been presented in Eastern and Western Europe and in North America.
