MORE THAN NAKED

Workshop by Doris Uhlich

In this workshop we will experiment with the mass of the body in relation to the baroque era. Doris Uhlich will deliver insight into the project more than enough. The interest is to experience movement coming out of the naked body that uses the flesh for dance. The aim is playing with lightness and with weight, looking for dance and movement coming out of the skin, the muscles and the flesh, discovering the sound of flesh. This is a workshop for people who are interested in working with the naked body – not as a form of provocation, but as a form of using the naked body for movement which is not possible with clothes.

Doris Uhlich has taught contemporary dance in several academies, including the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. Uhlich has been directing her own projects since 2006 and her works have been performed in numerous performing arts venues and festivals across Europe.
