TEKIJÄ

Theatre Touring Network project (TEKIJÄ) is an initiative of the Association of Finnish Theatres, Finnish Theatre Centre, Baltic Circle Festival, Produforums Vänner and Tampere University Centre for Practise as Research in Theatre in co-operation with Metropolia and Novia Universities of Applied Sciences.

The main aim with the TEKIJÄ project is to raise competence in touring and co-operation in the Finnish theatre field, between the independent field and the institutions and between theatres performing in Finnish and Swedish.

TEKIJÄ project also organises a pilot artist residency program in co-operation with Baltic Circle Festival in the fall 2012. Two working groups are chosen to rehearse their upcoming performances in Helsinki and at Centre for Practise as Research in Theatre in Tampere. This pilot residency program can include both technical and dramaturgical support. The artists document the rehearsal periods of the two productions that will premier during Baltic Circle Festival in November. Based on the documentation and the feedback from other interest groups, TEKIJÄ will gather a report on artist residency as a co-production model.
