CONNECT CONNECT is an initiative of SPIELART Theater Festival Munich in co-operation with CAMPO – Gent, Republique – Copenhagen, Forum Freies Theater – Düsseldorf, Mercat de les Flors – Barcelona, Tanzquartier Wien – Vienna, Baltic Circle – Helsinki, Theater im Pumpenhaus – Münster and Münchner Kammerspiele – Munich to sponsor artists in the areas of theater and performance.
As a result of CONNECT CONNECT project, four new productions were developed in 2011. The special challenge of the project was that the productions were developed by artists who have not previously worked together, in close collaboration with mentors from the field of performing arts.
This year one of the CONNECT CONNECT production is featured in the programme of Baltic Circle Festival: Jakob & Pieter Ampe (BEL): Jake & Pete’s Reconciliation Attempt for the Disputes from the Past, mentored by Alain Platel (BEL).
